This Privacy Policy explains how Augmenting Everything (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit preschoolify.com, use the Preschoolify mobile application, or buy our products. We comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) of India and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who we are

2. What we collect

2.1 On the website

  • Order data: name, billing & shipping address, phone number, email address, payment confirmation (we do not store card details — they are handled by our payment processor).
  • Account data: username, email, hashed password.
  • Browsing data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring URL, time on site. We use first-party and third-party cookies for analytics.
  • Communication data: messages you send us via email, WhatsApp, or contact forms.

2.2 In the Preschoolify app

  • Activation code: we record the QR activation code used and the device that activated it, so that the single-use rule can be enforced.
  • Camera: the app uses your device camera to scan AR flashcards. The camera feed is processed on-device and is not uploaded to our servers.
  • Crash & analytics: anonymous crash reports and basic usage events. Children’s faces, voices or personal identifiers are never collected.

3. Children’s privacy

Preschoolify is built for children aged 1–5, used under adult supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Purchases on the website must be made by an adult. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

4. How we use your data

  • To process and ship your orders.
  • To provide customer support.
  • To verify activation codes and prevent fraudulent reuse.
  • To send order updates and (only if you opt-in) marketing emails.
  • To improve the website and app — through aggregated, non-identifying analytics.
  • To meet our legal obligations (e.g., tax, accounting).

5. Sharing your data

We share your data only with: payment processors, shipping partners, hosting & infrastructure providers, analytics providers, and law-enforcement when required by valid legal request under Indian law. We do not sell your personal data.

6. Cookies

We use cookies for: (a) essential site functionality (cart, login, checkout); (b) anonymous analytics; (c) re-marketing. You can decline non-essential cookies via our cookie banner.

7. Your rights (DPDP Act 2023)

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request erasure (subject to legal retention requirements).
  • Withdraw consent for marketing communications.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.

8. How long we keep your data

  • Order data: 7 years to meet Indian accounting / tax requirements.
  • Account data: until you delete your account, then within 30 days.
  • Marketing data: until you unsubscribe, then within 30 days.
  • Analytics: aggregated indefinitely; raw event data deleted within 14 months.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures — TLS encryption in transit, hashed passwords, restricted server access — to protect your data. No system is 100% secure.

10. Privacy on app stores

Google Play and Apple App Store collect their own data when you download the app. Their privacy practices are governed by their respective policies.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of this page.
